XYZ providing services to local authorities as a project consultant which includes Survey, Detail Project report (DPR), Project Management consulting etc. Whether this was exempted under service tax regime being provided to local authority? If yes, any notification or circular to that effect? Kindly guide.

In our view it will be taxable as only certain services provided to local authority were exempt. Please refer to Mega Exemption Notification under Service Tax.
