Income Tax sends Rs 8 crore recovery notice to a labourer

In a shocking incident, the Income Tax department sent a notice to a labour for recovery of Rs 8 crores. The person, who is a labour by profession, is a native of Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh.

The labourer suspected that his documents were misused in Delhi where he went a few days ago regarding a job and had submitted his papers at a company.

Shlok Kumar, Bulandshahr SSP, informed that the police are probing the matter and looking into all the aspects.

Reports stated that a company sent goods to South Africa by submitting the documents of the labourer. When the labourer received the notice, he informed the police.

The labour has been identified as Ankur Kumar, a resident of Baral village of Gulavathi area.

Kumar told the police that he had given his education certificates and other ID proofs to a person when he was searching for a job.

The alleged victim claimed that after taking all his educational documents and other ID proofs the accused also got signed some documents. However, many tears passed, but the labourer did not get any job.

The victim said he was shocked to receive a notice from the Income Tax Department. It is being said that a bank account was opened by submitting his documents and a transaction of Rs 8.64 crore was made through it.

Ankur Kumar denied any wrongdoing and said he did not have any knowledge of the bank account in his name.
