Levy of license fee on a service was under dispute and under litigation since service tax era. Now, in GST regime the case is settled and supreme court decided that license fee on the service, is to be payable to Govt. Since the matter pertains to service tax regime, Please suggest Whether SERVICE TAX or GST will be charged on the license fee to paid ?

In cases of services provided under service tax regime, service tax needs to be paid and GST cannot be paid.
Have u received any SCN? Has period of 5 years elapsed, as otherwise the issue will be time barred.
